May was a busy, busy month for us here at August. We are well into the awards season (this month alone we have submitted 50+ awards projects!) And June is turning out to be even busier.
Outside of supporting our clients, we’ve been celebrating the team and Donna has been sharing her expertise with leaders, entrepreneurs and sustainability professionals reaching 100s of people.

Prioritising Team Culture
With awards season in full swing, everyone in our team is working hard every day to provide the high level of service we pride ourselves on.
We’re constantly working to strict deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously all with different timelines. It can be easy to get stuck into the work and forget to come up for air!
Which is why throughout the year, no matter how busy, we make sure to set time aside to come together as a team outside the office and let off steam. Previously, we’ve completed treetop rope climbing and volunteered to work on a community farm.
The activity of choice this time was paint and sip at Pinot and Picasso in Brighton, painting portraits of our pets!
Armed with a rough outline, paint brushes and plenty of paint, the team got stuck into bringing their creations to life.
For some team members painting comes more naturally, for others, they hadn’t picked up a paintbrush in years! So there was a real mix of experience in the room.
And, of course, we had to give awards for the results (left to right);

This month we also celebrated our fabulous Sales and Partnerships manager, Brooke’s birthday with pizza in the sunshine at a local brewery.
And with Mental Health Awareness Week taking place in May, prioritising the team, even in our busiest times, is proving vital to maintaining our high performance team dynamic and get the best results for our client, as well as the business.

The King’s Awards for Enterprise
