About The Awards

The Great British Entrepreneur Awards celebrate and champion the stories of entrepreneurs growing brilliant British businesses.

The awards are sponsored by Allica Bank, a highly entrepreneurial company, having launched at the end of 2019, and being one of the fastest growing companies in the UK. Since its launch, it has provided £1.7bn of lending to SMEs, and is also championing getting SMEs much better value on their deposits where it recently exposed the £7.5bn of savings interest that SMEs are missing each year.

The Allica Bank Great British Entrepreneur Awards has been described as ‘The Grammys of Entrepreneurship’, receiving 5,000 applications annually, this awards programme has fostered a significant community of ambitious and impressive entrepreneurs over the last 11 years.

The accolades don’t always go to the biggest businesses. The awards pride themselves on celebrating incredible stories of passion, tenacity, courage, innovation and disruption from entrepreneurs running businesses of all sizes and at all stages.

The event has an esteemed judging panel of seasoned entrepreneurs and industry experts who look at our applications every year, with an excellent idea of what they’re looking for.

Entrepreneurs from all industries and regions of the United Kingdom that fulfil the eligibility criteria are eligible to apply. From early start-up business, to more established companies; any entrepreneur can apply!

No, there is no cost to enter the awards.

Winners are chosen by a panel of esteemed judges from the industry, academia, and investment communities. It’s important to remember that the Great British Entrepreneur Awards are all about the story of the entrepreneur. Winners will not be judged on their company size, turnover, or prestige but on the business journey of the entrepreneur themselves.

The number of categories may vary each year, but typically include categories such as Innovative Entrepreneur of the Year, Creative Entrepreneur of the Year, Technology Entrepreneur of the Year, and many more! Check out the awards categories for more information.

Absolutely! We understand that every company has unique objectives. While we have predefined packages, we’re more than willing to discuss a customized package tailored to your company’s goals and needs.

Yes, its entirely optional but we will be hosting a special daytime get-together for finalists and their teams. Activities will include co-working sessions, certificate pickup, professional headshots, and opportunities to meet with event partners. More details will be provided closer to the event.
